How important are wedding pictures to you? Like any other service, professional photography comes in different price ranges and of degrees of quality. Certainly your budget is a consideration but so should your level of confidence in the photographer you choose. Saving a little money may buy you more grief thant the savings are worth.
Make sure you meet personally with any potential wedding professional including the photographer. Ask to see their work. Ask about the type of equipment they will use. Ask if they will be one taking the pictures or do they have an assistant that will be handling your event. Ask about the turnaround time between your wedding and when the pictures will be delivered.
Finally, make sure you develop a comfort level or rapport with the wedding photographer you hire. The photographer you hire will be spending most of your wedding day with you!
